The first appointment (psychiatric evaluation) and subsequent appointments are 50 minutes in length. Clients may request a longer appointment in advance and are billed accordingly.

New to therapy? Cynthia is available for a complimentary 10 minute face to face consultation for new clients. Currently, Cynthia accepts Anthem, United Behavioral Health and Aetna insurances.

Individual Therapy

Cynthia offers therapy to adults, teens and children (ages 10 and up) in a safe, confidential and therapeutic environment. She uses only evidenced-based practices and is up to date with practices recognized by the NAMI (National Alliance for the Mentally Ill), SAMSHA (Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration), and the Veteran’s Administration. Therapy appointments are 50 minutes in length unless arranged in advance for a longer session. Therapeutic approaches utilized: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Problem-Solving therapy, Mindfulness, Prolonged Exposure, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and more.

Psych Evaluation

The first appointment is designated as the evaluation/assessment. Here, you and Cynthia will review your intake forms (completed prior to your arrival) and discuss pertinent issues and goals bringing you to therapy. This appointment is typically 50-65 minutes in length. Before scheduling a follow up visit, Cynthia will ask if you felt comfortable, safe and understood. It is her priority to establish good communication and understanding from the beginning.

Professional Training

Cynthia is a local and national speaker and trainer on a variety of topics. She welcomes the opportunity to work with organizations, large and small, to fulfil your training needs. Previous trainings offered:

Critical Incident Stress Debriefing (CISD)

Are you/your employer prepared if disaster strikes? Work place violence, downsizing, and unexpected injury/death are just a few examples of disasters that can affect a business and its employees. Cynthia is credentialed to provide Critical Incident Stress Management when disaster strikes. She contracts with local businesses and emergency response companies to deliver immediate crisis services. Please contact her for more information.
